Bike helmets are often made of EPS foam, but there are several problems with EPS.

The Sidekick is equipped with Ozmo's Damage Defense, a system that protects the EPS foam from daily wear and tear.
The green shock absorbers suspend the blue ABS shell 2 millimeters above the grey EPS foam. Impact energy from everyday drops is dissipated by the shell and shock absorbers, instead of inflicting damage on the EPS foam.
