Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know which size my child needs?

Though using head circumference is not perfect because it doesn't account for different head shapes, it is still the best place to start when choosing helmet size. Using a soft tape measure, measure all the way around the widest part of your child's head, about 1 inch above their eyebrows and ears. Compare the measurement against the 2 sizes: XXS (45-49 cm) & XS (49-53 cm).

Now that I have the Sidekick, how do I make sure it fits my child correctly?

The Sidekick was designed with children's comfort in mind, so there are multiple ways to fine tune the helmet's fit. Refer to the guide below to get acquainted with your Sidekick.

Where can I get the charms?

Ozmo doesn't actually make any charms. We only designed the Charm Slide slot on the back of the helmet (and the button slots on the Cold Weather Kit ear covers) to be compatible with any Croc Jibbitz or shoe charms, because we wanted to give little ones an opportunity to personalize their own helmet. The existing shoe charm market is endless, you can find any character you want!

Really excited for this helmet for my 16 month old, and the added peace of mind when I have her on my e-bike. Equally excited for the small to come out as my 5 year old is growing out of her standard helmet and I was wishing there was an e-bike rated helmet her size.

I give it 4.5 stars because the sizing seams a little incorrect. Otherwise it is a great helmet. My daughter loves the unicorn on it. It is nice to know that she will have better heard protection on the ebikes than the cheap helmet she had before. Overall a great helmet.

Excellent helmet and excellent customer service. My child loves the helmet and the lead engineer and team made sure we got the perfect one. Thank you Ozmo! The fit is very adjustable and allows for precise fit to the head and can be adjusted as the child grows. I got two of them, one for each child. The fit on the toddler/baby is great with all the adjustable straps, padding etc.
